About the competition

The Kangaroo Talent Maths Competition is one of the largest competitions held in more than 70 countries around the world for nearly 6 million students. The competition began in 1980 in Australia by mathematics teacher Peter Hallron and has been a huge success as a national competition at the Australian level.
